At Triple A, we not only pride ourselves in helping cheerleaders become better cheerleaders but better people. It is a true honor to work with so many talented & passionate staff who go on to do great things and become successful professionals. Despite their busy lives, they continue to be dedicated to giving back to the sport and community that has made them who they are today. Who better than them - our very best local cheerleaders as well as mainland cheerleaders who love Hawaii-Style Cheer to pay it forward and now be the ones to INSPIRE & MOTIVATE the next generation of Hawaii cheerleaders.
Meet some of our staff who make Triple A special
Kellie O'Donnell is the owner and camp coordinator of Triple A and enjoys teaching at each camp or clinic. She is a former Moanalua HS Cheerleader and University of Hawaii Cheerleader. Former Head Coach of the University of Hawaii as well as former HHSAA Sports Coordinator and former NFHS Board Member. Kellie is passionate about giving back to the sport that has given her so much! Through her camps and clinics, scholarships and donations, Kellie is humbled and grateful to be able to make positive impact.
Kayla Kimura is a 2012 graduate & former cheerleader of the nationally ranked Kamehameha Schools. She currently is a senior at Iowa State University studying Civil Engineering. Her work ethic and her all around talent is inspiring and earned her Rookie of the Summer (her 1st year) & Veteran of the Summer this past year. Kayla is a leader among staff and a favorite among teams, she is a great role model to the next generation of Hawaii Cheerleaders!

Jason Dela Cruz was a standout cheerleader at Damien and went on to have a successful cheer career at the University of Hawaii. This is his 13th year with Triple A. and he is without question one of the most funniest people who everyone gravitates to. His social skills and ability to bring out the best in people is unmatched. His infectious positive attitude and dynamic spirit shines through his passion for giving back and helping others.
Kanani Kekuawela currently is an elementary teacher and is going on her 9th summer with Triple A. She has previously cheered for 12 years and is currently coaching at Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama.
Emily Luke re-joined Triple A this year after graduating from Oregon State University. A former Kamehameha Kapalama Cheerleader standout and former Oregon State Cheerleader, Emily is talented and a amazing instructor! Danielle Gsoell - a former standout at PACE all-star in California and the University of Hawaii Dani is full of talents and an incredible instructor. Bailey Wilson-Pena - former Kamehameha Kapalama Cheerleader and current University of Northern Arizona Cheerleaders, Bailey earned Top Instructor in 2017 and 2018! Dawn Vess - former cheerleader from Kauai High School and the University of Hawaii, Dawn is a talented flyer and enjoys giving back to the cheerleaders! Jeremy Sage - originally from Seattle Washington, Jeremy is a former University of Hawaii cheerleader. Terina Faagau - former Kamehameha Kapalama Cheerleader, Terina earned Rookie of the Year and was able to travel to Japan to teach cheer camps in Nov. of 2017. |
Joel Shugart is a former cheerleader from the University of Northern Iowa. He is a former member and certified judge of the Hawaii State Cheerleading Judges Association (HSCJA). Currently, he is the Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) Sport Coordinator and also Facilities and Coaching Coordinator and Optional Coach at the Hawaiian Island Twisters (HITS) Gymnastics on Oahu. Nobody is more generous with his time and resources than Joel. Through his selfless nature and generous heart, Joel has been a leader in Hawaii Cheerleading and a cornerstone for Triple A for over a decade.
Kamaile Maldonado was formerly a cheerleader at Kamehameha Schools on teams that won our state’s first ever state cheerleading championship and the 2003 UCA National Championship. That year, she was also honored as a base on Hawai’i’s first All-State First Team. After attending Pepperdine University and the UC Berkeley School of Law, she is back in Hawaii and continues to share in our local teams’ love for cheer! She is dedicated and inspired by the passion and drive brought to camp every year by the cheerleaders and staff of Triple A.
Click here to read more about Kamaile Niki Fernandez Guzman is in her 12th year with Triple A and always goes the "extra mile" in everything she does. She was a standout cheerleader at Baldwin High School and during her junior year named top cheerleader in the State. Her Senior year she received Triple A's top Senior award of $1,000.00. After her successful high school career, she cheered at Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) from 2008-2010 where she won NCA All-girl Nationals in 2009. She later transferred to the University of Hawaii and cheered from 2010-13 where she placed 1st in USA Partner Stunts in 2011.
Nathan Bair has multiple national titles both All Star and collegiate and is an accomplished gymnast for 8 years and cheerleader for 10+ years. Originally from Houston, Texas he is a worlds silver and bronze medalist and currently works at Texas Lonestar Cheer Company.
